      Hey Nathan,
I hope that with if I get to go to schools I can see how interested kids (and their teachers) are in learning about the brain. I’ve visited secondary schools before and the kids said they really enjoyed it and they learned something. I also really enjoyed their questions! makes us scientists get to the point and understand whats important sometimes. So I hope that if I get to go to Irish schools I could help get kids interested in learning about their brain and how to protect it!

      Hi Nathan,
If I win I want to use the money to improve and promote our department’s zoology museum. I want to create a new guide to the museum which includes all of the weird and interesting stories behind the animal specimens. I would also like to invite more people to come and visit the museum and learn about animals for themselves, and that includes school groups! We already have some after school clubs which visit the museum during the year as well as TY students on work experience placements and the students always love getting to poke around the museum cabinets and learn about the different animals; ones which are both living and extinct. I worked as a tour guide for the museum over the summer and I would love to share some of the museum’s secrets with more people!

I will help you by using the money to come to your school and spend a day convincing you why you need to study science even if you do not become a scientist…
