      Hi Alana,
You’re right, science gives you great opportunities to travel and I’ve been really lucky to go to lots of amazing places.
I have two favourite places; I loved working in the Greek islands studying lizards. I spent three weeks in Folegandros which is a beautiful place with some great walking trails and lovely beaches with clear, warm water for swimming.
I also had a great time working at the Zoology museum in Harvard University. It’s in Cambridge Massachusetts which is very close to Boston and that whole area is lovely. There are dozens of universities so it’s an exciting place to visit as a student and the surrounding area has beautiful parks, a great city and access to some lovely coastline with plenty of watersports. I would love to go back and visit again!
      Sive
