• Question: What is a mathematic experiment that brings mathematics to life

      There are so many — there’s an equation that tells us how a tiger gets her stripes. How about the question: why is the number of petals on a flower usually one of the following numbers: 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, or 34? Is it an accident that there is a sequence (Fibonacci sequence) of numbers that contains this list of numbers? I could go on for hours naming all the fascinating experiments!!!
