      Hey,
I don’t have a single favourite animal for studying their behaviour. The cool thing about studying animal behaviour is that you learn about general principles and rules for understanding how animals work. So different behavioural traits like parental imprinting (the instinct to recognise and follow your parents) are general principles which are expressed in different ways by various animals (though sometimes things can go wrong – hence you get some confused baby ducks trying to follow around their human “mother” because that was the first person they saw). Of course we don’t have rules to explain or understand all the different types of animals’ behaviour but the quirky exceptions and oddities are what make things interesting.
Animals behave in some very weird ways so it’s impossible to choose just one favourite animal or behaviour!
