What happened was this. I used to love fixing things like bikes, cars, model airplanes and that so I wanted to be come a mechanic. Then as I grew older and became interested in science and maths (maths first though) I began to realise that the enjoyment I was getting from fixing things was the EXACT same as the joy I was getting from when I solved a puzzle in mathematics. So, along with an excellent teacher, I became good at maths around second year in school. I think I was always good but never realised it because I never thought it could be like fixing a bike! 🙂
